After an approach from a client complaining about ballooning technology budgets, we were tasked with producing a roadmap for the environment that would facilitate discussions with the business when allocating funds for IT.
Solution
A deep dive into the environment highlighted oversubscription in some areas and functional overlap in others which realized immediate significant savings. This deep dive included cross-matching with vendor roadmaps which allowed the client to forecast on a 3 monthly basis where budget (staff, licenses, infrastructure) would be allocated..
